Take a single shape — a square, a scallop — and repeat it. Again. Again. Again. Somewhere in that repetition, geometry takes over, and what emerges is symmetry: calm, orderly, satisfying to look at. Your brain doesn't have to work to make sense of it. It just settles in.
With this journal we have a blue and silver square-on-square design — clean, orderly, quietly hypnotic. We paired it with platinum Japanese book cloth, a cool, understated complement that lets the geometry of the paper — and the geometry of the journal itself — take center stage.

Always highest quality and such beautiful materials.
I just bought my fourth journal from Graystorm Studio, and it's the most elegant yet. The online photo is lovely, but one really needs to see the craftsmanship in person to appreciate the fine quality of the stitching and finishing, flawless. (I've tried hand bookbinding, not an easy skill to acquire...) And the Japanese paper has color and texture that make writing such a pleasure, that I'm motivated to write more and better...
Stylish, crisp and clean design. Love it!
