Hope in Bloom — Inspired by Van Gogh’s Almond Blossoms
Every now and then, art moves us so deeply it lingers — in thought, in memory, in creation.
This limited-edition notebook collection is my personal homage to Vincent Van Gogh’s Almond Blossoms (1853–1890), a masterpiece symbolizing awakening and hope.
Painted in celebration of the birth of his nephew, Almond Blossoms captured Van Gogh’s love for life and renewal during his time in Saint-Rémy, Southern France. I was fortunate to stand before this very painting at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam — a moment that has stayed with me ever since.
Last December, while visiting South Africa, I found a paper that instantly reminded me of that experience — delicate blue skies scattered with almond blossoms. I knew exactly what it was meant to become. Paired with a radiant Yellow Gold Japanese book cloth, this design highlights the soft yellow details in the blossoms while contrasting beautifully against the serene blue.
This is a very limited collection — only twelve notebooks in total:
A small tribute to art, hope, and the beauty of creation.
