Timeless, elegant.
I’m delighted to share something truly special with you—our newest very limited edition notebook, a timeless piece crafted with care and reverence.
Finished in soft gold Japanese book cloth and accented with a striking gold-and-bronze bamboo Chiyogami design, this notebook embodies elegance and tradition. Inside, 80lb / 118 GSM text paper awaits your words—smooth and fountain-pen friendly, ready for your creativity.
The Chiyogami paper used here comes from my personal vintage collection. Purchased in Tokyo over 25 years ago, these sheets remained hidden until I discovered them tucked away in a small shop in Coupeville, WA. In the studio, we lovingly refer to them as the Coupeville Papers—a treasure of Japanese craftsmanship and heritage.
For most, it’s simply paper. For me, it’s art—a reflection of centuries of tradition, preserved and passed on. It is an honor to share this rare piece with you.

The Graystorm Studio B5 Hardcover Notebook finished in soft gold Japanese Bookcloth and gold/bronze bamboo on black Chiyogami Paper is my 6th Graystorm Studio notebook, and I am now more in love with them. I write in my Graystrorm noteblooks every morning, and I find the writing experience uplifting. It is a joy to write in a beautifully handcrafted notebook filled with fountain pen friendly paper. Graystorm Studio's notebooks are the best I've ever seen. The workmanship is meticulous, the paper is really good for fountain pens, and the cover art is amazing. My most recent purchase was for two of the black, green, and gold bamboo print notebooks, which have to be seen to be appreciated – really nice.
